Jamie N Commons, the UK singer/songwriter who Q Magazine observed has a “…whisky-soaked growl to make Nick Cave tremble,” has signed with Grammy-winning producer Alex Da Kid’s KIDinaKORNER label. Jamie was nominated for the BBC Sound Poll of 2012 for his first UK release The Baron EP, and after a summer of playing festivals all over Europe, Jamie is ready to make his US debut.

Jamie N Commons  will release Desperation EP digitally March 5th (March 12th physical) on KIDinaKORNER/Interscope Records.

”Every so often you are introduced to an artist that transcends time, “ says Alex Da Kid.  “Jamie N Commons is such an artist.  I am pleased to welcome Jamie  to the KIDinaKORNER/Interscope family.”

Jamie also sees his song “Lead Me Home” featured in the AMC network promo for season 3 of The Walking Dead which premieres February 10th.

Born in Bristol UK, Jamie N Commons moved to Chicago with his family when he was six and it was there that he developed a deep love for American music.  The first gig his father took him to was the Allman Brothers: “I have strong memories of strange-smelling smoke and the guy next to us howling like a wolf,” recalls Jamie. Now the 24-year old singer counts Elvis Costello among his fans.
