ITunes sells More Than 2 Million Beatles Songs

EMI and English publication, The Guardian report that fab four, The Beatles sold more then 2 million Beatles songs in it’s first 7 days of being sold through the Itunes Digital Music Store.  An EMI insider celebrated it to The Guardian as “a pretty amazing achievement”.

The “achievement”‘s impact didnt stop there.  The Beatles sales dominance will be rounded out with the band’s staple classic, “Hey Jude” making a triumphant return to the British Top 40 Charts.  Classic Beatles compilation LPs The Red Album & The Blue Album also made history as result, being the only old style LP’s to chart on the current day British Charts.  This should serve as a nice breath of financial fresh air for EMI, who has continuously been in the headlines for corporate problems.
