#ICYMI: Ryan Murphy Discusses Lady Gaga’s Bloody Role On FX’s American Horror Story: Hotel

By now you’ve probably heard the news that Lady Gaga is checking in to American Horror Story: Hotel this fall. Well, in case you missed it, more details have emerged about mother monster’s role thanks to an exclusive that series co-creator Ryan Murphy gave to Entertainment Weekly earlier this week. EW reports that in addition to featuring AHS original cast members Evan Peters, Sarah Paulson, and Kathy Bates, Gaga will be featured as a character named “Elizabeth” the Hotel Cortez owner who “is sort of a very wealthy social doyenne who is consumed with art and fashion and people.”
When discussing the character, Murphy went on record saying that her character’s diet will consist of human blood. However, he insists that she isn’t a vampire. “I prefer the term ‘ancient blood virus,’” Murphy said. “It’s really a form of hemophilia, in a way.”
If you’re craving more info, the Lady Gaga and Ryan Murphy featured issue of Entertainment Weekly hits news stands tomorrow. American Horror Story: Hotel is slated to premier on October 7th on FX. Will you be watching?
