#ICYMI: Watch Black Thought’s “Rest in Power” Music Video From Paramount Network

Viacom’s Paramount Network aired the first episode of its new docu mini series Rest In Power: The Trayvon Martin Story on Monday. In case you missed it, Rapper and Tonight Show  band leader Black Thought of The Roots has been promoting the intense 6 episode series with a companion music video, also called “Rest In Power.”  It is interwoven with the doc’s many chilling visuals, capturing the show’s tough discussions of profiling, social injustice, and how the black community’s universal understanding of these issues ballooned into a dialogue in front of the whole country.

“Rest In Power: The Trayvon Martin Story” is produced for Paramount Network by Shawn “Jay-Z” Carter and The Cinemart. Executive Producers are Shawn “Jay-Z” Carter, Mike Gasparro, Jenner Furst, Julia Willoughby Nason, Nick Sandow, David C. Glasser, Chachi Senior, Sybrina Fulton and Tracy Martin. Furst and Nason are co-directors on the project.  Watch the “Rest In Power” music video above.
