In case you missed it, One Direction “made whole lotta history” on the UK’s recent X Factor Finale this week. Seemingly in complete acknowledgement of their approaching hiatus, the group used the British talent show stage to peacefully sing, reflect on and celebrate all that they’ve achieved since they were formed on that same stage in 2010. We think it was a cool TV moment that everyone should see.
Following the departure of former group member Zayn Malik back in March, One Direction announced that they would go on hiatus when they finished promotion of their 5th album, Made In The A.M. for Syco/Columbia Records in January 2016. Made in the A.M. debuted at number two behind Justin Bieber’s Purpose on the Billboard 200. It sold 459,000 album units and was certified gold in its first week by the RIAA.
