In case you missed it, big music news broke over at the peacock network earlier this week. NBC announced that rapper/producer Missy Elliot is the latest to join the all-star coaching talent of its hit music competition show, The Voice. Missy is set to serve as an advisor to the “Happy” mega producer/performer Pharrell Williams. Other big name advisors already committed to participating in this fall’s competition cycle are Selena Gomez, who will be assisting Gwen Stefani, John Fogerty who is working with Adam Levine’s team, and Brad Paisley who’s reping Blake Shelton’s team.
Granted, that huge amount of star power, and it could intimidate any of the fresh -faced singing talent. That’s why they have all around pop music diva Rihanna advocating as an advisor to each and every single contestant regardless of what team they’re on. Hard to say what’s going to happen, or who’s going to win, but it’s sure gonna make for good TV. Tune into NBC on September 21st and find out if we’re right.
