#ICYMI: Lady Gaga Gets Deep With Carson Daly On New Music, New Projects, And The Super Bowl Halftime Show
In case you missed it, Lady Gaga recently chatted with TV/Radio personality Carson Daly about the many things she has going on for her new album, co-starring with Bradly Cooper in the approaching production A Star Is Born, and what fans can expect from her recently announced up coming Super Bowl performance.
“The best way to push the envelope is with your guts and your talent,” she said about the Super Bowl performance. “And then you also want to push the envelope in terms of your creativity and your music and taking the show to the next level, but I don’t know if it’s the place to push the envelope in other ways. In some ways, I want to lightly lick the envelope, hop inside, close it, write my name on it, and the thing is that I really just want to be there for football fans because that’s what I’m hired to do.”
When Super Bowl talk ended, she dove right into some key facts about her new music. The American Horror Story: Hotel star reveled that her up coming new album’s title, Joanne is named after her late aunt.
“I thought if she was still here, what would she have to say? … She would be looking around at life because she didn’t get to live it. The spirit of Joanne came through me in every song, so that’s what this album is about. It’s a lot about human connection and you can hear it through the music.”
As usual Carson did a nice job diving into all the details that music fans care about. Check out his full interview for CBS’ 97.1 AMP Radio above! Joanne is set for release on October 21st via Streamline/Interscope Records.
