#ICYMI: Drake Salutes Eminem as “The GOAT” Durring Surprise Performance In Detroit

In case you missed it, “Rap God” Eminen is trending after appearing with Drake on stage at the Young Money star’s recent concert at Detort’s Joe Louis Arena. Em rose out of the arena floor to surprise fans during a performance of Drake’s breakthrough favorite, “Forever”, on which Eminem is very prominently featured.

“Detroit, make some noise for the greatest rapper to ever get on the motherf***ing microphone; he goes by the name of Eminem,” Drake told the crowd. “Legendary shit tonight.” Eminem responded, “It’s an honor to share the stage with this man right here.”

This mutually congratulatory appearance is significant because it comes on the heals of rumors that Slim Shady was preparing to unload a Drake diss track. Hot 97 radio personality Ebro Darden even warned Drake that Eminem might be prepping a track in reaction to the Toronto rapper’s beef with Joe Budden. “‘That’s not gonna happen.’ [Drake]’s like, ‘He’d never do that. And if he did, I got something for him, too,” Darden told HipHopDX.

In related news, Eminem reportedly encouraged Budden to stop feuding with Drake. Budden rapped about Shady’s advice on the follow up dis track “Just Because.” Drake posted a photo with Eminem that he gloated about sharing the stage with “the GOAT.”
