Donnie Wahlberg Talks Marky Mark With Ryan Seacrest
Last week Mark Wahlberg was randomly asked by a TMZ camera guy if he would be willing to reunite with his 90s Rap group The Funky Bunch to do a benefit for the victims of the Boston Marathon bombing. The question was asked off the top of the guys head with what appeared to be the intension of simply getting a reaction. It came off as something that was done in bad taste, so we just ignored it. Then when Mark’s brother Donnie Wahlberg called in to On Air With Ryan Seacrest to promote New Kids On The Block’s involvement with this summer’s Mixtape Festival in Hershey PA, he indicated that their might be some realism to Mark reuniting. Either that or he’s just trying to get his brother to “put his money where his mouth is.”
The cool thing is that while specifics about a Funky Bunch reunion are up in the air, Donnie did say that there is something big being put together to benefit Boston. You may remember that fellow New Kids On The Block member Joey McIntyre was running in the Boston Marathon, and only missed the explosion by a matter of minutes. Teasing about Mark’s Hip Hop past aside, we really do hope that they are able to pull off something really great. Check out Ryan Seacrest’s report below.
