Hip Hop Mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs made headlines earlier this week for saving the Boys & Girls Club of Harlem New York. The Boys & Girls Club of Harlem announced that Combs made a sizable charitable donation that will help aid the organization’s ailing operational budget. This donation comes in the wake of the organization experiencing budget problems because of shifts in their federal, state and private funding. Board Member and Resource Development Chair of The Boys and Girls Club of Harlem discussed Diddy’s recent generosity with Allhiphop.com.
“Mr. Combs’ contribution comes at a time when we were faced with the possibility of eliminating existing programs and/or club sites,” Willie C. Bentley Jr. told AllHipHop.com. “One hundred percent of Mr. Combs’ contribution will go directly to the young people, and provide educational, recreational and social enrichment programs allowing us to move forward as a club, uninterrupted.”
All reports indicate that exact amount of the donation has been kept private. However, when asked about the donation’s amount, Resource Development Chair Bentley described it as “remarkable”. Cheers Diddy!
