Country Stars Poised For Pop Crossover
There is no doubt that internet has played a part in alot of confusion for the music industry, but when middle school classmates Charles Kelly, and Dave Hayewood moved to Nashville with hopes of being part of the Country music scene, it also played apart in the formation of one of the genre’s most successful new bands. Out making their way around the local music scene, the guys recognized one of their friends on Myspace. Her name was Hillary Scott. Charles and Dave convinced Myspace friend Hillary to join forces with them. It wasn’t long after that the trio debuted as Lady Antebellum.
After being picked up by Capitol Records’ Nashville division in 2007, Lady Antebellum found their groove as a country adult contemporary band, thanks to stand out Country hits like, “Love Don’t Live Here,” Lookin For A Good TIme,” and “I Run To You.” That took their self titled debut to the top of the Country Charts. Hopping that success would continue into a long standing career, the band released their love ballad, “Need You Now” at the end of 2009. The song has carried their success into the new decade, allowing them the potential to evolve into an over all mainstream hit. ”I Need You Now” has a reminiscent vibe to Kid Rock and Sheryl Crow’s “Picture.” Be sure to take a listen and see if you agree, because they have a great chance of making “Need You Now” into one of the stand out staples of 2010.
