Columbia Records Introduces X Factor Star Fleur East To America

British recording artist Fleur East is about to make waves in the U.S. with her growing hit single “Sax.”

Under the mentorship of Simon Cowell, Fleur was a contender on the 2014 season of The X Factor UK where her show stopping performance of “Uptown Funk” was said to be the highlight of the whole series, peaking at Number 1 on iTunes. Watch the performance HERE.

After being named the runner-up of The X Factor UK, Fleur arrives with debut single “Sax,” which she wrote alongside Electric, JHart and Camille Purcell. Fleur made her debut TV performance of the single on The X Factor UK, catapulting the single to #3 on the UK singles chart where it spent three weeks in Top 5.  Watch the performance of “Sax” HERE (PW: fleureastxfactor). “Sax” is a Certified Gold single in the UK.

Here in the U.S, “Sax” recently rose to #3 on the Spotify U.S. Viral Chart and was featured in Entertainment Weekly’s ‘The Must List.’ BuzzFeed also agrees that “Sax” deserves our attention, saying the single “sounds like the better version of songs that we already love.” The accompanying video for the song has also racked up a massive 11.5 Million views to date. “Sax” is the first single from Fleur’s debut album Love, Sax & Flashbacks, which she wrote and recorded with luminary producers such as Fraser T Smith, Rodney Jerkins, TMS and Oak. The album is currently available in the UK and will be released in the US later this year.
