There has been a lot going on behind the scenes here at Clizbeats.com lately. Craig and Matt Clizbe of Clizbeats had a very productive few days in New York City last week, meeting with friends and contacts, and even made some new ones along the way. The trip’s second day was the busies of them allt. This past Thursday included a visit with friends at Island Def Jam Music Group’s at their newer office on Broadway to talk about new albums, artists and talked about some good possible interviews as well. This was then followed by Craig and Matt having an awesome visit at New York’s number one hit music station, Z100. The guys got to hang out with their long time friend and supporter Mo Bounce who DJ’s nights on Z100, As you can see from the photo above they had a great time chilling in the studio and just talking shop about some cool project ideas and catching up with one another. Thursday night concluded with Craig and Matt being able to pop in at Ciara’s 27th birthday party at the RSVP Club near by Z100. Craig and Matt were lucky enough to be invited to the party earlier that day, and they made it just in time to watch Ciara blow out the candles on her big birthday cake that then got passed around to the guests. A big thanks to everyone at Ciara’s label, Epic Records who showed Clizbeats.com support that night.
After getting invited to a superstar’s bday party, you would think that would definitely be the highlight of the trip right? Wrong! The best story has just been saved for last. While waiting for the appointment at Island Def Jam, The guys headed over to the New York offices of Disney Music Group and Hollywood Records on 43rd street. This invite came after a random conversation about their new artist ZZ Ward on the phone. Loyal Clizbeats.com fans may remember that prior to signing with Hollywood Records, ZZ Ward was actually one of Clizbeats’ very early artists to be profiled in the site’s “Indie Artist Spotlight.” ZZ’s publicist at Hollywood took notice of Craig and Matt’s knowledge and passion for ZZ’s story, as well as them seeing her potential as a new artist on the label. The brothers hit it off really well with the Hollywood staff , and it should lead to more projects with ZZ Ward in the future, along with many other great possibilities with other Hollywood artists as well! ZZ Ward recently released her major label debut album, Til The Casket Drops a couple weeks ago. It is a nice mix of traditional blues mixed with Hip Hop flair and a slick Pop/R&B production style. She is definitely a breath of fresh air for those of you looking for something different. The album features the singles “Put The Gun Down”, as well as the title track, which was also used to promote the most recent season of ABC Family’s Pretty Little Liars this past summer. We encourage you all to check ZZ Ward out and you will discover a career artist in the making. She is a fun sexy singer, with a song writer’s discipline way beyond her years. For those of you who would be interested, ZZ is making her way around the country on her “Dirty Shine” tour. If you can we encourage you to make it on any of the dates below.
