Multi-platinum singer/songwriter Ruth B.’s new single “Superficial Love” is available now, listen above. “Superficial Love” was produced by Mike Elizondo and will be featured on Ruth’s forthcoming 12-track debut album due out this year. The song’s production complements Ruth’s stirring vocals and robust piano chops, signaling yet another direction for the singer/songwriter.
Ruth recorded her upcoming debut album in L.A with producer Joel Little, who previously collaborated with Lorde on her multi-platinum debut, among others. Just as she did on her debut EP The Intro, Ruth wrote and composed all the songs on the album herself. The passionate artist delivers on “Superficial Love,” multi-tracking her vocals which serves as a taste of the beautifully layered collection of relevant pop songs that comprise her much anticipated LP. It was the same stunning vocal command she showed on her debut single, “Lost Boy,” now certified multi-platinum in the US (x2), Canada (x3), Sweden (3x), the Netherlands (2x), Denmark (2x) and certified Gold in Norway. Ruth garnered critical and commercial accolades for her Columbia Records debut, with the song becoming a global, radio and streaming hit and her EP The Intro debuting at #1 on the iTunes Singer/Songwriter Album Chart and #4 on the Billboard Magazine Heatseekers New Artist Chart.
Ruth also landed the opening slot on Alessia Cara’s North American tour, wowing fans and winning over new followers with performances in famed venues including Radio City Music Hall, The Wiltern Theatre, Ryman Auditorium and Massey Hall in Toronto, among others. Recognized as one of the top artists on iTunes’ 2016 Best of 2016 Year End music list, Ruth’s song “In My Dreams” was also tapped for a sync last November in ABC’s Once Upon a Time – the series that first inspired her enchanting debut single.
