Yes Its true, after over a year of being his very successful Island Def Jam label mate, Justin Bieber has had his dream of working with Kanye West come true. West’s remix of Bieber’s song “Runaway Love” made its way online yesterday. Bieber’s vocals are the originals from My World 2.0 , while Kanye puts his stamp on it in a way only he can. As the producer of the song West sampled Wu-Tang Clan’s 1993 breakout hit, “Wu-Tang Clan Ain’t Nuthin’ To F*** Wit.” Kanye continues the Wu-Tang Clan theme of the remix by referencing Wu-Tang in his verses and even allowing Wu member, Raekwon to rap two verses. Talk of Kanye collaborating with Raekwon began earlier this month in interviews with MTV.com.
Bieber’s involvement was solidified via twitter when Bieber and Kanye began writing eachother
Kanye West: “Listening to @JustinBieber ‘Run Away love,’ “ “I love Sunday mornings in the crib.”
hiphopconnection.com was kind enough to post the song for a free download to all those who want it. Clizbeats.com will extend that same download invitation Check out this interesting Justin Bieber collaboration.

Remember singer/song writer BC Jean? Well maybe you do and you just do not realize it. Jean is best known for co-writing the hit single “If I Were A Boy” with Toby Gad for Beyonce. At that time BC was a relatively unknown 21 year old singer/song writer who quickly got a hard dose of reality about the music industry. BC did in fact become famous for writing “If I Were A Boy” for Beyonce with Gad, but she did not realize this until after Beyonce had recorded it to be the first single from her latest album, I Am…Sasha Fierce. This was according to an article published by FoxNews.com from October 2008. (”Beyonce’s New ‘Stolen’ Hit Record” By Roger Friedman) . In This article it is suggested that the song’s co-writer and producer, Toby Gad began shopping the single to mainstream Pop artists after plans to use that song and others as part of Gad’s own album changed.
“Altogether, I am told, BC Jean wrote and recorded about a dozen songs with Gad for an album the producer was planning to make of his own. When the deal fell apart, Gad — whose 300 plus credits are all co-written, never solo — took the songs and started marketing them to big name, established artists. Gad’s past “collaborators” include Fergie, on “Big Girls Don’t Cry.”" (Quote from “Beyonce’s New ‘Stolen’ Hit Record” By Roger Friedman)
BC Jean was not made aware of Beyonce recording the song until a stranger called her and told her the news. Since then both BC and her mother/manager, Lori Carlson have come to terms with Beyonce’s team about the rights and publishing. Although Jean endured one of the most heartbreaking experiences any up and coming singer could imagine, maybe the later acclaim and buzz she recieved from writing the song for someone as high profile as Beyonce Knowles may have proven to be a blessing in disguise. Since then she has signed a deal with J. Records, part of the Jive/RCA Label Group of Sony Music. She is currently working on her debut album with the likes of Dallas Austin, The Matrix and even Toby Gad. The album is due for release later this year. Recently J. Records serviced what is meant to be BC’s debut single as an artist. It is an up beat catchy Pop tune called “Just A Guy.” Keep checking in with us here at Clizbeats.com as we tell you more about BC Jean’s new project as it develops! Until then check out some of her music!
BRUNO MARS UNVEILS EAGERLY AWAITED DEBUT ALBUM “DOO-WOPS & HOOLIGANS”SLATED TO ARRIVE OCTOBER 5THNEW SINGLE “JUST THE WAY YOU ARE” SHAPING UP AS MASSIVE HIT,WITH TOP 3 SUCCESS ON ITUNES “TOP SINGLES”;SOLD-OUT NEW YORK CITY LIVE DEBUT,FOLLOWED BY US TOUR ALONGSIDE MAROON 5 IN OCTOBER
Elektra recording artist Bruno Mars has announced the release of his hugely anticipated debut album. “DOO–WOPS & HOOLIGANS” – which includes the smash single, “Just The Way You Are” – arrives in stores and at all online retailers on October 5th.
“Just The Way You Are” is looking like a true breakthrough smash, currently standing as a Top 3 success on iTunes’ “Top Singles” chart and also a Top 3 favorite on the “Top Pop Songs” ranking. The track is also exploding at multi-format radio outlets nationwide, with Top 20 success at both Rhythmic and CHR/Top 40. A companion video clip – directed by Ethan Lader (B.o.B, Kidz In The Hall) – is set to premiere in early September.
Pre-orders for “DOO–WOPS & HOOLIGANS” will begin on Tuesday, August 31st at Bruno’s just-launched www.brunomars.com. A variety of pre-order options will be on offer, with such extras as an exclusive t-shirt and a limited edition screenprinted poster, autographed and hand-numbered by Mars himself. What’s more, Bruno will personally be taking 500 individual photos, to be included in the first 500 pre-orders. Tomorrow, Thursday, August 26th, will see Bruno taking questions from fans around the globe at his first-ever live webchat, set to begin at 6PM ET on the Cisco Eos-powered www.brunomars.com.
A remarkably charismatic and charming live performer, Mars will make his much anticipated New York City solo debut this evening at a long-sold-out Bowery Ballroom. A major European promotional trip will follow later this month, with the Hawaiian-born Mars set to introduce “Just The Way You Are” to fans throughout France, Germany, and the United Kingdom. Upon his return, Bruno will herald the release of “DOO–WOPS & HOOLIGANS” with his biggest US tour schedule to date, supporting Maroon 5 on the fall leg of their 2010 “Hands All Over” Tour. The dates – which also feature One Republic – begin October 6th at Santa Barbara, California’s Santa Barbara Bowl and then continue through an October 16th show at San Diego, California’s Viejas Arena (see attached itinerary).
From there, Bruno will cross the Atlantic for an eagerly awaited European tour alongside Decaydance/Fueled By Ramen recording artist Travie McCoy, due to hit England, Scotland, Germany, Denmark, France, Sweden, and The Netherlands with dates running from mid-October through early November. The joint tour follows Mars and McCoy’s recent series of high-profile TV performances of their collaborative Top 3 hit, “Billionaire,” including appearances on ABC’s The View, NBC’s The Tonight Show with Jay Leno and Late Night with Jimmy Fallon, VH1’s “Do Something Awards,” TBS’ Lopez Tonight, and Fox’s 2010 Teen Choice Awards. Additionally, Bruno Mars is currently planning his first ever US headline tour for later this fall (more information and tour dates forthcoming).
In addition, Bruno recently joined K’naan for a very special one-night-only sold-out concert at Hollywood’s House of Blues, collaborating on the international #1 smash, “Wavin’ Flag.” The track – which was prominently featured at the FIFA World Cup tournament in South Africa – is one of the many recent hit singles co-crafted by Mars in his role as member of the hugely successful production trio, The Smeezingtons.
Currently earning acclaim for co-writing and producing fellow Elektra recording artist Cee Lo Green’s new online sensation, “F**k You (FU),” The Smeezingtons are without question the year’s most sought-after production team, having crafted a pair of RIAA 2x platinum-certified hits in Rebel Rock Entertainment/Grand Hustle/Atlantic recording artist B.o.B’s #1 hit single, “Nothin’ On You (Feat. Bruno Mars)” and Travie McCoy’s aforementioned “Billionaire (Feat. Bruno Mars).”
Bruno broke out on his own earlier this year with his acclaimed debut EP, “IT’S BETTER IF YOU DON’T UNDERSTAND.” Produced and written by Mars in collaboration with his Smeezingtons partners, Philip Lawrence and Ari Levine, the four-track collection peaked at #1 on the iTunes Pop chart, fueled by such irresistible tracks as “The Other Side,” featuring both B.o.B and the aforementioned Cee Lo Green (whose new Elektra solo album, “LADY KILLER,” is slated for release later this year).
The scion of a Honolulu-based musical family, Bruno Mars grew up surrounded by a wide array of diverse sounds, spanning reggae, R&B, folk, and 1950s-era rock ‘n’ roll. Upon graduation from high school Mars headed to Los Angeles where he teamed up with Lawrence and Levine as The Smeezingtons. The trio quickly became one of the most in-demand production/songwriting teams in modern music, with a streak of major hits for such diverse artists as Flo Rida, Cobra Starship, Sugababes, Sean Kingston, Brandy, and Justin Bieber.
It wasn’t long before Mars also lent his signature vocals to a pair of Smeezingtons-penned and produced hits: B.o.B’s #1 sensation, “Nothin’ On You,” and “Billionaire,” the debut solo single from Gym Class Heroes frontman Travie McCoy. A flurry of national media attention followed, including performances alongside B.o.B on a number of major TV shows, including BET’s 106 & Park, the nationally syndicated The Ellen DeGeneres Show, ABC’s Jimmy Kimmel Live!, and TBS’ Lopez Tonight.
Furthermore, Mars has been featured in a wide-ranging assortment of national media outlets, spanning E! News, Entertainment Weekly, Complex.com, The Village Voice, Vibe, YRB, PerezHilton.com, Spin.com, ArtistDirect.com, MTV.com, and New York.

When Island Records decided to release Justin Bieber’s second album, My World 2.0 so quickly after the release of his debut, the intention was to take his online appeal with the “radio Disney” audience and combine it with the general Teen Pop demographic. With platinum certifications in six countries and his first top 5 single (”Baby”) his team can say mission accomplished. My World 2.0 has had 3 singles impact Pop radio (four including Usher’s Remix of “Somebody To Love” ) There is no doubt that his presence is going to continue to grow significantly with the upcoming release of the album’s third official radio single. The song is “U Smile” and so far it is proving to be Bieber’s most critically acclaimed song yet.
“U Smile” like mnay other Bieber songs was originally released digitally to help market the release of the album. The song’s catchy hook with the lyrics “you smile, I Smile” quickly became Bieber’s Hallmark calling card when talking directly to his fans via his Twitter and Facebook accounts.. Those easy to quote lyrics began being exchanged to various Bieber fans throughout the world, one of the many reasons why Bieber’s name remains one of the most Tweeted about around the world. Now that “U Smile” is finally being released to American Pop radio on August 24th, it has potential to be one of his most successful at radio. Its stripped down, blued eyed soul style combined with the song’ simple universal message has the ability to translate on radio the way it once did online with its original digital release.
.” When speaking of “U Smile”, It is guaranteed to generate warm and fuzzy emotions in millions of young fans. However, it should not disappoint adults either. There is a clarity and resonance in Justin Bieber’s young voice that would be the envy of most American Idol contestants. Just like in the past it is easy to disparage these tunes in their simplicity and lack of high-brow pretension, but it is just that which makes My World 2.0 such a refreshing experience. There is no significant filler here. If you are looking for a pure, engaging pop record, you can’t do much better right now” (Bill Lamb About.com)
If the song’s presence in Bieber’s native Canada is any indication of any possible future American success, the song debuted strongly at number 17 on the Canadian Pop Charts. This pattern of pre-American Canadian success has proven to be a winning formula for Justin with every phase of his career. He was already a massive success on Canada’s Much Music long before the official release of his first single, “One Time” in the US. This pattern was also what gave Clizbeats.com cluess to his massive populatity early on when we aggresively requested interview time with him from Island Def Jam in May of 2009. (The Interview was recorded in June 2009). Keep up the good work JB! You and your team, Scooter Braun and Usher are Rewriting the rule book in Teen Pop marketing in the digital era! The industry needs to take notes!
We first heard whispers of rumors around Linkin Park’s new fourth album when the band recorded the theme for the first DreamWorks Transformers film, “New Divide” in 2008. Now two years later that project has finally arrived. The album is A Thousand Suns and it will be released on September 14th, via Warner Bros. Records. As promised to many avid music fans, the album will be produced by Linkin Park rapper/front-manm Mike Schinoda and acclaimed music producer of nearly all types, Rick Rubin. The first single is called ” The Catalyst ” and it wasted no time hitting it big, debuting at number one on the Modern Rock Chart with a 12. million audiance in its first week.
A lot of the success of the song is attributed to the band’s cutting edge contest called “Linkin Park” Featuring You.” This contest was started last month when the band serviced files for the single allowing fans to remix and feature themselves on the song. The winner would be tagged as official and added as a part of the album. The winner of this contest was a remixer simply named was “NoBraiN”. This sparked an enthusiasm for the song’s release on August 2nd. Take a listen to the new Linkin Park single and its remix.

It is directed by David Fincher, best known for directing the Brad Pitt films, Fight Club and The Curious Case Of Benjamin Button. Even though Facebook founder, Mark Zuckerberg was not involved in the making of the film, it was based on a book by Ben Mezrich called The Accidental Billionaires: The Founding of Facebook, A Tale of Sex, Money, Genius, and Betrayal, which lists Facebook’s co-founder, Eduardo Saverin as a consultant for the book. The film adaptation is produced by the team of Scott Rudin, Kevin Spacey, and Michael De Luca. It features an ensable cast of some stars and other lesser known actors.

As you may have seen on promo posters around your local movie theatre, Walt Disney Pictures is finally getting ready to release a sequel to their 1982 breakthrough film Tron. The new film, Tron Legacy continues the tradition of breakthrough computer animation in Disney 3-D and Imax, unlike anything ever seen on the big screen before. Disney bringing Tron back is perfect to add to the collection of countless 3-D animated films from all the major film studios. Adding to Tron Legacy’s futuristic vibe will be the soundtrack composed entirely by French, House music duo Daft Punk. Daft Punk came to fame by producing some of the music that is often considered to be essential in the House Music era of the late 1990s and early 2000s.. Two of those biggest hits include, “Around The World” from 1997 and possibly their biggest hit, “One More Time” from 2000! Multiple sources indicate that Daft Punk has recorded over 24 trackss for Tron Legacy ’s score. In addition to Daft Punk’s contribution, Journey’s music will also be featured in the film, just as it had been in the original 1982 film.

A tad bit curvier, a lot more confident and absolutely in control, Kelly Rowland announces her title as “Commander in Chief” with her third solo album and hit single “Commander”.
But don’t call this a comeback. Don’t even call it a new and improved Kelly. There was nothing wrong with her from the beginning. Let us remember, she is only one-third of what many consider to only be the most successful female groups of all time.
Ms. Kelly has seemingly just come into her own. Her new sound of heavy dance, upbeat techno, vegas-esque style, can be considered out of the ordinary if you must reminisce upon her previous solo projects. But the truth is, it actually works for her. Her voice fits the tone and she seems to actually be enjoying the music she is making.
“From here on out, I’ll be your commander” is what she salutes in a tight, patent leather body suit, leaving not much to the imagination when she, well, turns around. Where she got that booty, nobody knows. Where she got the audacity to take back control of her career after a much needed divorce between her and former manager, Matthew Knowles-we’ll just have to find out.
The journey can be taken with her when her third solo album debuts this later this year. And the trip is actually worthwhile as she proclaims her stance as a “Grown Woman”, writen by Ne-Yo and acknowledges the truth about blind love in the “Rose Colored Glasses”, produced by Dr. Luke, most famous for his work on Katy Perry’s “I kissed a girl” and Miley Cyrus “Party in the USA”.
My only concern is will everyone “get it”? As we allowed Michelle to tap into her Gospel voice, Beyonce to smoothly end her relationship with blasé R&B, and even decided with Solange that she was, in fact, amazing, we never really got the chance to give Kellya shot. While her solo debut “Simply Deep” sold over 2 million copies worldwide, something happened along the yellow bricked road of her career, as her follow up album, Ms. Kelly, kept getting shelved and eventually needed a re-release in 2008, after its 2007 debut.
However, despite a roller coaster ridden in the shadow of Beyonces’ solo success and an obvious struggle to make her mark in the industry alone, Rowland seems to have landed firmly in her skin and in her voice. Her sound does more than take you into a new direction, but into a new world.
Her latest ensemble, set to release later this year, and her first single “Commander”, forces her to step out of her comfort zone, add attitude and demand her best, and only best, to be shown. She gave us a sneak peak of her new sound with her number one hit, “When Love takes over”, a proven successful collaboration with famous French DJ, David Guetta.
Does she have a bit of work to do? Of course, but who doesn’t? I mean at least she can really sing. Half the artist nowadays couldn’t hold a note if their life depended on it. Her dancing is still a bit outdated and she sort of seems to be waddling in and out of finding her “look”. Although as she has seemed to change her image what feels like every five minutes, in reality, her new style of music is forward, futuristic and full of life…
Enough said. Buy the album. Or at least indulge in the club, and let the martini loosen you up a bit as you sweat your perm out while screaming at the top of your lungs “when love takes over, yeah!”. As a broke recent college grad, I prefer the latter, but you won’t go wrong dropping a few bucks for the full Vegas-esque experience.
I get it, Kelly. Always have and always will.
