Cash Money Is "Down" w/Jay Sean Jul 28, 2009

British-Asian Pop Star/song writer, Jay Sean has already had Top 10 hits in the UK like “Eyes On You”, and “Stolen.”. Those hits were achieved as part of his  million pound deal with Virgin Records.on his UK album,  Me Against Myselff. The success continued after leaving Virgin to start his own label, Jayded Records.

He had released his second album My Own Way via Jayded Records in 2008. The album was originally named “Deal With It”, but was changed when the title song was sold to Hollywood/Walt Disney Records’ Corbin Bleu who later recorded the song. The album had two more top 20 hits in the UK. (“Ride It” and “Maybe”). It was after that when Jay became the first British-Asian to sign an American recording contract. His own label Jayded Records signed a joint venture deal with American  Hip Hop label, Cash Money Records which will be distributed by the Universal Republic Records Group.

The first American release from Jay will be a US edition of his hit album, My Own Way. The first official single will be a new track, “Down” featuring his new label mate, Lil’ Wayne. It was one of the most added Pop songs in America this month. It is gaining spins on over 101 radio stations in its first week of impact on American radio.
