Lady Gaga has been the music businesses biggest topic since the release of her new single “Applause” last week. Unfortunately that is because not everything surrounding the release has been good. While we were out of the office on Friday, Gaga was busy getting into it with her former close friend, blogger Perez Hilton. For reasons we wouldn’t be able to explain, Gaga accused Hilton of stalking her, and proceeded to attack him through twitter. E! Online collected many of the quoted tweets that tell the story. Check them out below.
She continued, “DO I NEED TO BE SHOT IT IN THE HEAD FOR PEOPLE TO UNDERSTAND THAT HIM AND EVERYONE ELSE THAT HARASSES ME HAS GONE TOO FAR? IM A HUMAN BEING…I just want to make music+make people smile. Im sorry to all the fans who are trying to enjoy whats suppose to be a happy time. Gone too far.”
Hilton responded indirectly by retweeting music video director Joseph Kahn.
“I am over Gaga’s fan base behavior. Race insults, death threats, homophobic slurs. I’ve never seen such awfulness on behalf of any singer.”
On a positive note, not all of her press was bad. She also sat down with media heavyweights like Ryan Seacrest and Carson Daly to talk about the debut of “Applause” that was rushed because hackers leaked it ahead of schedule. The Examiner speculates that Gaga is lashing out because of “Applause’s initial reception.
Carson talked about many of the subjects on the Pop star’s mind from an art focused “non-name calling perspective” in his interview with her last week. We thought it was a nice way to sum a lot up about recent Gaga related events. Check it out below. Perez also responded to his situation with Gaga by talking to Carson Daly. Click here to check that out as well.
In other more posatove Lady Gaga news fans can check out the new video for “Applause” that was premiered via Good Morning America and VEVO today. You can also watch that below. Cheers!
