Motion, the explosive new album from Grammy-award winning global superstar Calvin Harris, has made an impressive debut in the U.S. and around the world. The album marks a career-high for Calvin in the U.S., with first week sales more than double that of his previous release, 2012’s 18 Months. The debut also marks Calvin’s highest-ever sales week of an album in the U.S. Motion ranks #1 on SoundScan’s Dance/Electronic chart and Top 5 on the Billboard 200.

Upon its release, Motion soared to #1 on iTunes in more than 60 countries, including the U.K., Germany, Australia, Russia, Mexico, Brazil and India. At Spotify, Calvin was the top streamed artist in the U.S. the week of Motion’s release; the album was streamed nearly 7 million times in its debut week. Motion is currently Spotify’s #2 most streamed album in the world, while Calvin is the #2 most streamed artist globally.
Calvin’s current single “Blame (feat. John Newman)” has officially been certified RIAA Gold, as this week the song hits #1 on SoundScan’s Dance/Electronic  chart. In addition, “Open Wide (feat. Big Sean)” is #7 and “Outside (feat. Ellie Goulding)” is #9, marking the second consecutive week Calvin has had 3 songs in the Top 10 on the chart.  “Blame” is firmly entrenched in the Top 10 at pop radio, Top 25 at Rhythm radio, and approaching Top 30 at Adult Pop radio. Airplay on “Blame” continues to grow on over 200 monitored multi-format stations across the country. Tune into VH1 and Palladia next weekend to watch The Bacardi Triangle Special, featuring an epic performance by Calvin earlier this month live from a private island in the Bermuda Triangle. VH1 airs the special November 22 at midnight ET, while Palladia airs the special on November 23 at 9pm ET.
