Bruno Mars Goes For His 3rd #1 With “Marry You”

After the first two singles from his debut album Doo-Wops And Hooligans achieved Gold status and topped the Pop charts, Singing/song writting and producing sensation, Bruno Mars is attempting three number one hits in a row! He does this with another obvious smash hit off the album being released. That new single will be his catchy tune about careless fun at the chapel called “Marry You” Like most of the album, “Marry You” was written and produced by Bruno and his song writing partners, Philip Lawrence, Ari Levine, and Brody Brown aka The Smeezingtons. Fans of Fox’s hit show Glee may remember the song already as a hit used in a very cool part of the show. “Marry You” was covered by the cast on the episode “Furt” durring Burt Hummel and Carole Hudson’s wedding.
The episode aired on November 23rd, 2010 and also featured the cast covering Bruno’s smash hit, “Just The Way You Are”. Both songs were included on the latest soundtrack for the show, Glee The Music Vol. #4, released on November 26th, 2010. Glee has been very good to Bruno by helping get his songs exposure. 4 of the hit singles written and produced by Bruno and The Smeezingtons were included in the show and on this soundtrack. This includes a very cool performance of Cee-Lo Green’s hit song, “F*** You” with Gwyneth Paltrow. (Performed as the radio version “Forget You”)
If the reception to Bruno’s music on Glee is an indication of anything, its that he has yet another hit on his hands! With that said, its no wonder why he and The Smeezingtons were nominated for Producer Of The Year. (Non-Classical) at the 2011 Grammy Awards. Good luck fellas!
