Beyonce Documentary Sets Records For Both HBO And OWN
The Hollywood Reporter has announced that Beyonce’s Life Is But A Dream has set a new records as HBO’s highest rated documentary since 2004’s Nielsen ratings system change. Life Is But a Dream brought in 1.8 million viewers this past Saturday. This out did the Spike Lee’s previous record holding miniseries on Hurricane Katrina,When the Levees Broke: A Requiem in Four Acts, and did 3 times better than the recent episode of HBO drama, Girls.
This achievement was boosted even further by the sizable 1.3 million viewers that hatched her prior to the doc’s premier on Oprah Winfrey’s OWN Network. The highly anticipated interview earned OWN the highest rating in ad-supported cable’s non-sports programming targeted toward women 25-54 during that time period. Good for you Bey!
