Living Under the Barack Obama Spot Light

American Idol season eight is approaching its having the same amount of anticipation as this coming year’s highly anticipated presidential inauguration right?   Don’t be offended.  It’s quite possibly the truth considering the show boasts a significant number of votes higher then the actual presidential election. The ever hip Hollywood friendly Democratic National Convention is understandably trying to take advantage of what would be such an obvious boost.  People Magazine announced that American Idol favorite and Oscar winner Jennifer Hudson will perform at this years DNC.  Hudson is scheduled to perform this coming Thursday before presidential nominee Barack Obama offically accepts his nomination.  Hudson will be performing The Star Spangled Banner.  I have no doubt that her rendtion will be filled with the same inspiration, power of the human spirit, and over coming of adversity that her story embodies.  Don’t forget she was sent home, amd dealt the heartbreak of coming so close and yet being so far.  No one gets it right all the time, but I can’t understand how she slipped through the cracks.  She defied the odds and became one of the show’s biggest stars despite it all.  Sounds like the perfect soundtrack to the Barack Obama story.  “She's thrilled and excited. It's a tremendous honor," Hudson rep told PEOPLE.
