Matt here to blog my way into your hearts with some of the latest hot tracks that have been on the buzz ready to take over your radios across the country this fall. Well, some of them are getting movie deals now too. For those of you that aren’t regular listeners of the Elvis Duran Morning radio show based out of New York, you wouldn’t have been able to find out that the latest American Idol runner up David Archuleta released his first single “Crush”, to the pleasant reaction of fans letting him know how special and talented he is. They were kind of gushing and normally I’d stay away from it because it all seemed to be a little much. But I checked out the exclusive video provided by the radio show’s site. It was a great moment of personal achievement for David I must say, and just an explosion of emotion that just poured out of him. I didn’t want to be the guy to ignore it, even if I don’t have a show heard by millions, and powered by the juggernaut Z100. (for now anyway lol) The song has that typical drippy Idol contestant debut single style that most of them come out the gate with, but what can I say, people love this kid. If you haven’t heard the song, take a listen see what you think.

While referring to American Idol stars, there are also our favorites that were recognized for their goofy boyish charm no matter how good they could sing. With that said I wanna give a shout out to American Idol season 5 top 10 contender, Kevin Covais. That season had a tone of personalities you’d love to watch, including mega record seller Chris Daughtry who still has a presence on radio building back up with his song “What About Now.” Always able to stand out amongst the others, Kevin has taken his ability to joke, and take shots at Simon and turn it into a movie career. He joins singer/song writer/ producer and former star of the Nickelodeon smash, Drake and Josh, (great show) Drake Bell, and filmed a movie about all the craziness and debauchery transitioning from high school to “College.” It has all kinds of good stuff that I apparently missed out on in my college experience included in the film. I was immediately pleased when I saw this trailer a while back and figured while I was on the subject of AI, why not push this and see if you guys feel the same way. The trailer’s been out a bit, but so what right?

Speaking of ‘so what,’ I was actually inspired to write this post after hearing media monsters like Sirius and Z100 play Pink’s latest track hot off the presses, “So What.” The funny thing about this song is it came out of nowhere. One day I was just checking things over and, boom it was in my face. Right off the bat I asked myself, “what’s so special about this song? “

I listened to it, and it was kinda catchy. It comes with the very same energy that fans of hers will just love. It’s still on the build, but her new album is coming this fall!
