Bad Meets Evil Featuring Bruno Mars "Lighters" Shady/Interscope Records

Detroit Rap duo, Bad Meets Evil (Eminem and Royce Da 5”9”) have recently released the second music video from their latest EP, Hell The Sequel That video is for their song “Lighters”, which features one of 2011’s biggest singer/songwriters, Bruno Mars! The song was also co-produced by Bruno, with his productiong group, The Smeezingtons, with  Eminem and Battle Roy. As of now “Lighters” is the duos biggest hit, peaking at #4 on the Billboard Hot 100, Prior to the release of this current EP, the duo’s collaborative efforts were only known locally around Detroit, until Eminem was signed to Interscope Records as a solo artist by Dr. Dre.  The duo appeared on his first major label album, The Slim Shady LP on a song named after them, “Bad Meets Evil.” It was intended for the group to continue to work together, but they had a falling out soon after that album was released. Now that the duo is back together, Royce is finally starting to get a glimpse of the commercial success that Eminem has enjoyed for many years.

The music video for the song was shot in July and was directed by Rich Lee, who also worked on the video for “Not Afraid”, from Eminem’s 2010 album, Recovery.  It was filmed in Los Angeles and is as Bruno described in an MTV interview, “a very beautifuk video” and would “leave fans inspired.” it made its debut on music video web site Vevo on the last week of August, but if you have not seen it yet, check it out!
