Cash Money Records’ newest Pop star is gearing up for a strong return to the biz following a brief break to manage a recent health scare. Fans that were set to see Austin in action on MTV’s Artist To Watch Tour are likely to remember that the “Say Somethin’” singer was forced to the sidelines to mend a blood clot in his throat. Doctors have said that the clot was likely to have been caused by a mix of the singer having poor nutrition, a lack of proper exercise, and a need for rest. For more details on his illness click here.

He plans to return to his MTV Artist to Watch touring duty come February.  It looks like he may have a little extra help managing it all now too. Back in September Billboard reported that the 17-year-old singer’s record deal would be expanded to now include a partnership between the major Republic Records affiliate that signed him, Chase Records, and Republic’s standout Hip Hop/Pop affiliate, Cash Money Records.

Under the strength of his newly built relationship with Cash Money, Austin is set to release his latest single, “Banga Banga” on November 10th. It will be the 4th single of his released since he originally signed with Chase Records in 2012. “Banga Banga” follows his previous hits “Say Somethin,’” “Say You’re Just A Friend,” and  “What About Love.”  Cash Money Records’ co-CEO’s Ron and Brian Williams had the following to say about their relationships with both Chase Records and Austin Mahone.

“We’ve been colleagues with the Chase team for a while,” Ronald “Slim” Williams, Cash Money co-founder and co-CEO, said of the Mahone deal. “As we continue our expansion, Chase Records is the perfect partner for Cash Money as we’re both striving for excellence and now we’re going to make history together.”

“We were extremely impressed by everything Chase Records has done with Austin,” Bryan “Baby” Williams, a.k.a. the rapper Birdman, added. “We bonded over a similar mindset, and it made sense on every level to team up. I can’t wait to see what we collectively accomplish.”

Austin Mahone’s debut album Junior Year will be released on Chase/Chash Money/Republic Records in 2014. We’ll keep you posted as we learn more. Cheers!
