Atlantic first released the album’s first music video on June 21, which is “Heathens” by Twenty One Pilots. That video features the band locked up in DC Universe prison Bell Rev, along with the film’s inmates with cleverly edited clips from the film. “Heathens” was the first single from the soundtrack that was made available for download when the album’s track listing and Pre-Order were first announced by Atlantic on Jun 17th. “Heathens” was quickly followed by the music video for the album’s second single, “Sucker For Pain.” Sucker For Pain” is the second instant grat track made available when pre-ordered. It is a collaboration uniting Lil Wayne, Wiz Khalifa, Imagine Dragons, Logic,Ty Dolla $ign, and features X Ambassadors. The track, which has been dubbed the “Squad Anthem” has been released promotionally to Top 40/Pop radio and Rhythmic radio formats. Like Suicide Squad: The Album’s first video, this one also shows all the performers locked in Bell Rev, however this one also includes clips of Jared Leto as The Joker, and Ben Affleck as Batman as well.
Atlantic Records will continue to release several additional instant grat tracks, including “Standing In The Rain,” by Action Bronson & Dan Auerbach of The Black Keys featuring Mark Ronson, and “Purple Lamborghini” by Skrillex & Rick Ross’ – which will be accompanied by an official music video featuring a special cameo performance by Jared Leto as The Joker.
