American Music Awards Announce Celebration Of Star Wars: The Force Awakens

A big blend of entertainment worlds will be going down at this year’s American Music Awards. ABC and the AMA’s have announced plans to celebrate December’s release of the highly anticipated Star Wars: The Force Awakens. Acclaimed a cappella group Pentatonix will perform John Williams’ legendary Star Wars score, with a full symphony orchestra. Yes, you read that correctly. Are you excited?
If that’s not enough, word is that Twitter has gotten on board too. The social media giant has signed on to help fans express excitement for the occasion by launching custom Twitter emojis for all performers. Apparently, each performer will have their own featured emojis. Viewers will be able to activate the Twitter emojis by Tweeting custom hasshtags. One of those we already know about is #StarwarsAMAS. Jennifer Lopez is set to host The American Music Awards on ABC on November 22nd. The Walt Disney Company owns both ABC and Star Wars’ Lucas Film.
