Hip Hop fans may remember that Eminem and Skylar Grey go way back! She is one of the creative forces behind one of Eminem’s biggest hits “Love The Way You Lie” from 2010′s Recovery, and the song’s sequel found on Rihanna’s Loud album. Skylar is credited as a song writer for both versions of the song along side producer, Alex Da Kid. That same team reunited in 2011 to put together one of Dr. Dre’s most popular song’s in many years, “I Need A Doctor”. The track was intended to be included on Dr. Dre’s ever illusive Detox album that is still yet to have a release date. Once again Alex Da Kid and Skylar helped shape the song writing and production, only this time  Skylar’s vocals remained on the song at Eminem’s request, instead of being replaced by Lady Gaga, which was originally planned. Now Eminem is helping Skylar once again, as he teams up with Alex Da Kid to help co-executive produce her debut album, Don’t Look Down. This will be the first time Eminem will executive produce a project that is not connected to his label, Shady Records since 2pac’s posthumous album Loyal To The Game in 2004.
