A Closer Look At Lady Gaga’s Tour Disrupting Injury

The Chicago Times and LA Times have jointly  reported  that Lady Gaga is suffering from synovitis, a condition that results in severe inflammation of the body’s joints.  This is forcing her to reschedule dates of her current tour in Chicago, Detroit and Hamilton, Ontario.  Gaga was devastated when announcing the news, and revealed that this is something that she has been privately struggling with.

“I am completely devastated and heartsick,” Gaga said on Twitter. “I’ve been hiding this injury and pain from my staff for a month, praying it would heal, but after last night’s performance I could not walk. To the fans in Chicago, Detroit and Hamilton, I hope you can forgive me as it is nearly impossible for me to forgive myself right now.”

Hopefully she will be able to make her desired recovery.  After doing some reading provided by the national institute of health, we’ve learned that synovitis is often associated with Arthritis, Gout or Lupus.  If she has any of these conditions, it could be a sign of something deeper going on for her underneath the surface.

Given the fact that we know little other details about her personal medical history, her age and demanding career appear to be contributing indicators of what this  condition’s bigger picture may be for her.  Even though we don’t know the condition’s specific cause, it could in all likelihood  prevent her from keeping the current  pace of her demanding schedule.  If Gaga’s situation turns out to be part of something more serious the story will probably have to be revisited more directly in greater detail by her and or her people.  We’ll keep an eye out to see what if anything develops.

Gaga’s website advises ticket holders to hold on to tickets because refunds will be available.  Tour dates aside, we suggest that all of her fans send her well wishes too.  This condition is apparently extremely painful, and for her to have been hiding it for a month is a task in itself, and a sign of her great dedication to her fans.  Our thoughts are with her.  Get Better Gaga.
