5 SECONDS OF SUMMER’S LIVESOS IS OUT NOW

5 Seconds of Summer’s LIVESOS (Capitol Records), a memento of the band’s year on the road, is out now. The 15-track collection was recorded live at numerous shows that the Australian quartet played in the States during 2014. LIVESOS features both a live and a studio mix of 5 Seconds of Summer’s new single, “What I Like About You,” plus live performances of such fan favorites as “She Looks So Perfect,” “Amnesia” and“Good Girls” and a cover of Green Day’s “American Idiot.” The deluxe edition ofLIVESOS, which is available only at Target, includes the bonus track “Don’t Stop.”
The band’snew video, “What I Like About You: Live At The Forum,” can be viewed HERE. The clip includes footage from 5 Seconds of Summer’s recent sold-out, two-night stand at the legendary Los Angeles venue. Fans and critics alike turned out in force for the shows. The Los Angeles Times found their fusion of “earnest, upbeat pop-rock” and “mall-punk ‘tude” unique while the Los Angeles Daily News noted, “[5 Seconds of Summer] kept up the excitement throughout the set.”
USA Today recently named 5 Seconds of Summer as 2014’s No. 1 entertainment trend on Twitter. The band will kick off its first-ever North American headline run on July 17, 2015 at the Mandalay Bay Event Center in Las Vegas, NV. Released in July 2014, the band’s self-titled debut album entered the Billboard 200 at No. 1 and logged the biggest first-week U.S. sales of any new artist debut of 2014. It hastopped the iTunes charts in 76 countries and, in five short months, has sold more than two million units worldwide. In the U.S. alone, the band has sold 600,000 albums and over two million single tracks. Praised by The New York Times for their “gleaming pop-punk,” 5 Seconds of Summer took home New Artist of the Year honors at the American Music Awards and received five awards at the 2014 MTV European Music Awards, including Best New Artist. “Don’t Stop” won the award for Best Lyric Video at the MTV Video Music Awards. The band, which played the 2014 iTunes Music Festival and the iHeartRadio Music Festival, performed on the outdoor stage of TODAY to an audience of 15,000 and threw a Jimmy Kimmel Live Block Party for over 4,000 fans.
