3 Doors Down LET FANS TWEET TO HEAR “TIME OF MY LIFE” THIS FRIDAY, JULY 15th
TIME OF MY LIFE releases next Tuesday, July 19th
To promote their new album, Time Of My Life, 3 Doors Down has teamed up with The Uprising Creative to build a real-time, interactive approach to both communicating with the band, and to stream tracks off the new record. The idea was to do a timed release of the tracks based on fan interaction, and couple that with a real-time way for fans to ask the band questions during a live video feed.
The answer? A Ustream, Soundcloud, and Twitter mash-up created by The Uprising Creative that allows fans to interact with the band during the live chat while simultaneously working to unlock streams of the new record, all directly on http://3doorsdown.com
On Friday, July 15th at 3pm est, there is a live chat event scheduled at http://3doorsdown.com using UStream and Twitter, fans can ask the band questions in real time using the twitter hashtag #TimeOfMyLife. Additionally, use of the #TimeOfMyLife hashtag will automatically start unlocking Soundcloud-driven streams of the album, starting with the first track and ending with the last once the hashtag is used a specific (undisclosed) number of times. As the hashtag is used, the next locked track will display a percentage left until it is unlocked, and once it is unlocked it becomes playable using a custom-built player on http://3doorsdown.com, and the next track begins it’s unlock process.
Time Of My Life will be released on Tuesday July 19th.
